Riverbank Gallery was opened in 2015 by Pepe Turner and has become a popular art space located in the historic fishing port of Newlyn.
A small friendly gallery, Riverbank has grown into a successful exhibition space, showcasing many talented artists and makers living and working in Cornwall. In the temporary absence of Pepe Turner, the gallery is being looked after by Peter Wray and Judy Collins with much-welcomed assistance from Renate Augstein.
What a fantastic gallery. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit today. The art works were exceptional, exactly my taste. I was wowed by just how many I liked. A lovely warm welcome. It was a delight discussing the art and Newlyn. I would highly recommend a visit.
Gem of a gallery. Artist Daphne Turner's atmospheric interpretations of the local Penwith landscape and heritage are wonderful.
Brimming with a wonderful array of local artwork. I loved nearly everything in there. So many talented artists in this magical area of Cornwall. Can’t wait to go again.

Where is the gallery?
Riverbank gallery is located in the heart of Newlyn, next to the old Newlyn Bridge overlooking the Newlyn Coombe River. When coming from Penzance along New Road towards Newlyn, pass Newlyn Art Gallery on your left and continue on towards the village centre. Turn left onto Tolcarne Place, just past The Little Greengrocer, then, if on foot, turn immediately right onto the old bridge. The entrance to the gallery is on your left after crossing the bridge. The bridge and gallery entrance are pedestrian-only, but parking is available nearby at Duke Street car park (TR18 5HW) and The Tolcarne Inn (TR18 5PR). Both car parks are very busy, especially during summer, but the gallery is only a 25-minute walk along the seafront from Penzance, and there are regular buses from Penzance to Newlyn.

The gallery maintains an ongoing mixed exhibition, featuring the works of local artists such as Sara Bevan, Roger Curtis, Sarah Drew, Jill Eisele, Roberta Hopkins, Colin Orchard, Margret Steigner, Elaine Turnbull, Craig Underhill, Peter Wray and Judy Collins.
